"That's nice of you to say that about my dad," Ethan added.
"Oh yeah, I'm headed for bed soon too," came Mia's reply.
"Is your dad dating someone?" Mia added.
"I think it's a new thing," Ethan replied.
"Oh, well, not to stir anything up, but it didn't seem new to me," came Mia's information.
"Yeah, he told me he wouldn't be home tonight, something about an old friend. It was only a little awkward because I never really expected to get a text from my dad telling me he was about to get laid *wide eyes emoji* *shrugging emoji*," Ethan fired this off to Mia.
"That makes sense, on multiple levels *laughing emoji*" Mia replied.
"I think I'm going to go to bed now, good night, Mia."
