A good attempt for a first story but I think you could have benefitted from an editor, or at least someone reading it through before submitting it. There are a lot of errors that need correcting, mainly grammatical, but also repetition and punctuation. But it’s rare you don’t get those in a first submission. It comes across as someone writing down their thoughts rather than creating a story. I’ve given it much thought of what to vote and finally decided on a 4 because I appreciate the effort you’ve put in.
