But instead, she snapped her eyes opened, put her hands on his shoulders and pushed him off of her, rolling him onto the bed next to her. She willed herself to move so that she could check on him, but her body did not respond. She tried with all of her might, but none of her muscles responded. The sudden exertion was too much for her and she passed out, hurtling down into the blackest black she could ever remember.
