*sigh* pls don't take until chapter 15 for there to be any real action... it's a promising start though

The escalation with Emily felt pretty abrupt, as though you wanted to skip ahead to the fun bits rather than deal with laying the foundations for it. He doesn't question or hesitate at all until they're nearly finished, and it didn't feel as though it fit in well with the previous chapter.

Not a terrible problem or anything, but not what seemed to be foreshadowed either.
