"Tommy!-Bedtime! Right now young man!..."

....put that story away this minute or no more Charlies Angels re-runs for you!

This makes no sense at all

" I had tried to find out the answers of my wife, but she had refused to tell me, saying that this was part of the clubs rules, and if we want to become members, we need to follow them. After a few weeks, we got a reply saying that I was accepted as a member but that my wife needed to undergo some further personal interviews as to approve her membership."

Breaking the couple's communication _with each other_ tends to be a no-no among swingers, because doing anything behind a partner's back runs the risk that the partner will see it as cheating, get really jealous or even end the primary relationship. Split them in this way and the first question may well be whether this so-called "interview" consists of trying to get into the wife's knickers in the husband's absence.

"she also assured me that my wife Anna would be allowed in to the club, the only thing being that at the moment there was many women applying and not all of them would get a membership – so the committee had been doing these extra interviews with the ladies"

That'd never happen. Women wanting just sex and willing to do it with anyone are rare - and hunted to extinction. Single males wanting sex? Dime a dozen, but none of these "swinger" venues want them - as otherwise for every dozen couples they'd get one single female and two hundred single males. (The only two exceptions: a gay bathhouse can pair its single males off with each other, a bordello can pair its clients with a paid employee. Otherwise, fugedaboutiit, there's plenty of truth in the stereotype that sex is something women have and men want. From an evolutionary standpoint, sperm are very cheap, while illegitimate babies are very expensive. Women, instinctively, choose their partners very carefully before going to bed.)

"The members attending must have been somewhere around 40-50 I guessed, with roughly 70% being female, which I of course enjoyed."

Keep dreaming. They can get the numbers to come out sort-of-equal by admitting couples only, turning away all single males, but this will never skew majority-female unless they start trafficking in hookers - which would alienate their existing clientèle.

"I was amazed! What kind of heavenly place had I just gotten into? Apparently it was alright just to pick any good looking girl, no matter who she was involved with, and just do a 'wham-bam-thank-you-ma'm', but without the thank-you-ma'm"

That's not heaven. (looks down) That's that other place. In heaven, you would find a partner who is actually attracted to you - and communicate with this partner instead of doing things behind their back or demanding favours from someone who isn't interested.

My guess? Anna took one good look around, decided that she wanted nothing to do with this, then figured if hubby wanted to check this out so badly he could use Jessica as a 'ticket' (because they only admit couples, no single males) as basically a consolation prize before breaking the news that this isn't going to happen again.
