I dragged Jovie around to the passenger side, threw our clothes in, and dug my keys out of one of the pockets. Utterly exhausted and drained, I collapsed into the driver's seat and pondered what had happened. After a few long moments Jovie moaned and her eyes flickered open. She turned her head and looked me up and down. "Are we going to write about this?" she asked softly.
I started the car and let it idle. I looked over at her, and even in the darkness I could see the black tuft between her legs, the long shadows of her still-erect nipples. I wondered if perhaps we would try to relive tonight at some point just so we could help process it.
I shook my head and put the car in gear. "The old couple that met on the tilt-a-whirl," I said slowly. "We'll write about them." I made a slow and careful 180 and put the carnival in my rear-view mirror.

Maonaighover 5 years agoIf he had written erotica rather than SF/fantasy, this could almost have been a Ray Bradbury story. And the title of his carnival novel would have been appropriate: "Something Wicked This Way Comes". "The Girl..." is a compelling story, an interesting addition to the Lit ranks.

I'd love to see you put your talents to something a little longer as my only quibble with your writing is that you tend to stop when a story starts getting interesting...

Anonymousover 9 years agoThis was a very strange story. I don't much care for domination and coercion but you wrote this so well that you held my interest. If such stories had been permissible in the Twenties and Thirties, 'The Girl...' would have been ideally suited to a magazine called Erotic Weird Tales [with apologies to the legendary Weird Tales]. I think Orgasma should move away with the carnival but your two heroines might well be suited to a series of odd erotic stories.
