Reading this has me thinking that you are a Doc, or would like to be one. Do I remember Soma? Did you ever read Huxley's "Brave New World"? In the 60's you were not considered literate if you hadn't. I was in the hospital, in traction for a cervical strain and on Norflex IVs, when Soma was first released. You can't believe the jokes and hilarity going around with that announcement. BTW, they had to have some one watch me for at least 2 hours after the IV to make sure I didn't choke on my tongue.
