"That's a good boy." Noelle purred one last time as she tipped Miri's face back up, giving him one last smug look before playfully patting his cheek and stepping away.
"So, now that that's settled, let's get down to business!" And just like that, Noelle's attitude flipped like a light switch, her cruel, plotting grin replaced with the usual bright yet mischievous one. Everyone else in the room looked at the girl as though she had an alien parasite controlling her brain, but that mattered little at this point. Lauren and Ethan were on board, Olivia and Charlotte had given up their say in the matter, and Miri had no choice but to accept the proverbial tug on his leash.
