Stories told in the second person very rarely work, but this one pretty much does. I must admit that it's not my favorite style but you, the author, constructed this story in a way that lent itself to second person telling. Well done, but be careful, it can sound very cumbersome and often makes the narrator sound arrogant. I did it once and came badly unstuck, so again, well done.

Stories told in the second person are unbearable. Always.
