[:::: Authors Note ::::]

Welcome to Part III of The Nuclear Family; (check out Part I & Part II) this is, of course, a long story that I am telling in four parts. If you have read any of my stories in the past, you know that I like to take my time building up a scene and the emotions contained within. Of course, this would not happen this way in real life. Take this into account as you continue reading this tale. Those of you who want to say it wouldn't happen like that, you are more than likely correct, but try to enjoy the story anyway 😉

I've categorised this as a Loving Wives story because a cheating wife is involved, but as you have seen through the first two parts, this is about family, selfishness and pride, over love and compassion.

A huge thanks to miket0422, Larry & Wayne for continuing to help me edit this story.

When we left Robbie, he had just won his first professional MMA fight in Brisbane, Australia. While riding high from the win, Robbie is confronted by his family, and his father has made several threats.

But Robbie has the support of Amy, friends Darren and Toni, so not all is lost. Let's get into Part III of The Nuclear Family; I'm sure you already know there will be drama.

[:::: End of Part II ::::]

My mother shook her head, "not like this, he doesn't; his father will come at him as he said he would. He will try and destroy Robbie just to make a point."

For the first time, Toni came forward, "Then stand up to your husband Hattie," Toni said. "Tell him to back down. That's your son that he's about to come against." She said.

Mum shook her head again. "It won't matter." Mum looked at me. "I'm so sorry, Robbie. If I never see you again, do know that even though I will never again be able to say it, I will always love you. You were the heart and soul of this family, and we tried to destroy you for absolutely no reason other than our pride. You are the best of us; never forget that, but do what you have to do. For what it's worth," Mum paused as her eyes narrowed. "I don't think the rest of them have a chance, but I have to support my husband."

"I know, Mum..." I replied sadly.

She suddenly looked at me. It was the first time she had heard me call her Mum in over a year. She looked at me, then nodded slowly.

"I will love you forever," Mum said, turning to walk away back to her family.

Before she could turn entirely, I dashed the half dozen paces between us, grabbing her in a big hug.

For almost two minutes, we stood there, not moving. I understood that my mother was stuck. But I knew how she worked, and she had to support as many of her family as possible, even if it meant losing one of us.

Our hug may have gone on for a lot longer, but we could hear my father bellow her name in the distance. I released Mum. She turned and cupped my cheek, drawing me down to her and kissing my cheek.

"Goodbye, Robbie," she whispered.

"Goodbye Mum," I replied quietly, both of us shedding tears as she walked away.

[:::: The Nuclear Family - Part III ::::]

The drive home following the fight was bittersweet. On the one hand, I had won a fight that no one expected I would. I had friends there to support me and a woman beside me that I was in love with. It made me smile knowing that love was returned equally.

On the other hand, my family had forced the issue. Not that I was looking for it, but now, it did not look like there would ever be reconciliation. Also, through my father, I worried they would do something stupid and try to hurt me because they thought I was in the wrong with Brad and Georgia's affair. The thought was depressing. Yes, I knew I was still angry at them, none of them accepted any blame for their betrayal, but until tonight I thought I might one day get an apology...

I gave a mental sigh. I didn't know where my head was at after tonight. I hated to admit it, but I did miss them. Family was family; you never got another set of parents or siblings. And though I might not like them, until tonight, there was still a little love in my heart for them, even my asshole brother. But my father effectively started destroying even those residual feelings.

I felt Amy's eyes on me as I looked out the window, Darren accelerating onto the highway as we started the main leg of our drive up to Noosa.

"Are you alright, babe?" Amy asked quietly when no one had said anything for a while.

"I think so," I replied, still reflecting on the thoughts in my head. "I mean, yes, it's been quite an evening. Fights and family are confusing everything in my mind right now."

Toni turned from the front seat to look at me.

"Robbie," she said. "You have done nothing wrong, both Georgia and your family took advantage of your kind, hardworking nature. They took for granted that you wanted the best for people, and when they got caught out, they had too much shame to admit they're wrong."

Toni briefly glanced at Amy.

"Georgia knows what she's lost. Her gaze never left you while you and your father exchanged barbs earlier," Toni smiled. "Georgia looked at Amy a couple of times, and her face fell; she knows that you will never look at her with love again, but until tonight, your family was propping her up, making her believe it was possible. I think she would have abandoned your brother in a heartbeat if she thought there was a remote possibility that you would forgive her and take her back.

I snorted.

"See," Toni said, responding to my reaction, "Georgia knows she has lost you, but it galls her more that she lost you to her younger sister."

Amy laughed, "Well, I lost my older sister to Robbie's older brother. I would call it an even trade, but I think I got the better deal."

With that, we all laughed. I retorted that I got the better deal, and then the four of us traded friendly banter for the next twenty minutes. I felt Amy rest her head against my arm as we travelled, then as her arm intertwined with mine, I felt her squeeze me briefly before I heard a contented sigh.

I understood at that moment I truly did love Amy so much more than I ever loved Georgia.

Why?

Her actions.

Amy didn't hesitate before standing up to my father on my behalf tonight. I felt she would have kicked him in the balls if she could have. Sure, as Toni pointed out, Georgia stared at me because of what she lost, but she never once stood up to my family or told me she was sorry during any of the shit going on.

Everyone got quiet as we drove. As we continued along the highway, I fell asleep, exhausted, as we made our way home.

Home.

Tonight, for the first time, I started thinking of Amy's place as home. I hadn't had a home in over a year. Amy's place was beautiful. Who wouldn't want to call a house overlooking the Pacific Ocean home? But as I drifted off, the streetlights from the highway overpasses flashing over my heavy eyes, I contemplated that home was more than four walls and a roof over your head. A home depended on who you shared it with.

At Darren and Toni's, I was a guest in their home. Sure, I lived there, but it wasn't my place. With Amy, over the last few months, she had let me rearrange elements of the house to my liking. We talked about things, and she spoke to me about what she wanted to do to the place and my thoughts, then we both made changes together.

A couple of hours later, we pulled into the driveway. I was sleeping lightly when the car stopped, then I woke to a soft pair of lips on mine. I barely recall moving into the house, but I had a beautiful woman sprawled across me the next morning, clad only in a pair of bright baby blue cotton panties.

I awoke, gently removing myself from Amy, trying not to wake her while heading for the shower. I turned the water up hot, jumping under the spray, loving the feeling of hot water flowing down my body. My muscles were tight after the fight, I groaned, and suddenly, I felt my right calf seize with a muscle spasm. It wasn't unusual, and usually, I needed to sit down and allow it to pass. But right before I could collapse to the floor. A pair of arms wrapped themselves around me.

"Are you okay baby?" Amy asked, a concerned look on her face.

"Muscle cramp." I gruffly replied.

Amy helped me sit down in the shower, joining me a moment later. She had me describe the cramp as she settled herself down in front of me. She then drew my leg across her body and began massaging my calf. I groaned; her fingers were gentle but with a firmness that was just right, working the knot out of the muscle while stimulating the blood flow. At one point, I happened to look intently over at her. She had a serious look on her face focused on my calf. But she was also naked, and her legs were spread, giving me a perfect view of her entire body. The result was as we sat, another part of me suddenly responded, Amy stimulating the flow of blood in more than one area.

It didn't take Amy long to notice. "Oh baby, it looks like you have another muscle cramp." She said, a grin replacing the serious expression on her face. "Is your leg okay now?" I nodded.

"Good." She scooted herself over towards me, ensuring both of my legs were over hers. I felt her pussy warm against my balls as Amy leant up against me; the shower continued to rain down on us. She kissed me then as her breasts pushed into my chest. I felt her nipples harden as her hand went between us to my manhood, Amy slowly stroking me while our lips mashed together. She pushed me towards release as our passionate kissing continued.

"I love you, Robbie Other," she whispered as we took a breath. Her voice was full of desire and passion rolled into one. Her love felt like a badge of honour that I wanted to display. Still slowly stroking me, Amy felt my impending release, so she changed the kiss to sucking my lips, while with her other hand, she reached up and tweaked my nipples.

I exploded.

I groaned as I felt my release coat her hand as well as reach up underneath her breasts, but never for a moment did Amy stop stroking. She slowed, though kept hold of my cock, milking every last drop. When I finished, she sighed contently and looked into my eyes adoringly.

"Feeling better baby?" she asked.

"mmmm, yes," I said absentmindedly, lost in both her eyes and that haze a few moments after a really good orgasm.

She kissed me one more time before helping me up. We then proceeded to clean each other off and exchanged affections.

"I love you, Amy Brown," I said right before we got out of the shower. In response, she moulded her wet naked body into me.

"I know Robbie, you're mine now, and I'm never letting you go," Amy said very possessively.

Once we dried off and got downstairs, we found Darren and Toni dressed, ready to head out for breakfast and coffee.

"For a guy who fought a battle on two fronts last night, you looked relaxed this morning," Darren comments with a sly expression.

"Uh, yeah," I blushed. Darren, Toni, and Amy laughed.

We threw on some shoes and donned hats. Then, we walked down into the village, ending up at one of our favourite cafes, a little café called "The Village." It was perfect for a Sunday morning with outdoor seating and great coffee. Relaxing over bacon and eggs was just what I needed. Darren was correct in saying it had been a gruelling night fighting a battle on two fronts.

Now that I wasn't in intensive training, I ordered a big breakfast with all the extras, as did Darren. It included toast, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, grilled tomato, hashbrowns, beans, spinach, sausage and a potato rosti that was incredible. The girls ordered omelettes, and I was surprised when the owner, Michael, came out and personally placed breakfast down. I got a tall glass of freshly made tropical juice and a jumbo cappuccino.

It was a busy morning. Usually, Michael would be slaving away in the kitchen out the back while his wife Marie waited at the tables. But he put the food down, reaching out to shake my hand.

"Amazing fight last night, Mr Other. Marie and I cheered you on the entire way. I was amazed at that final move where you took Cody out," he said, smiling.

"Thanks, Michael, it was a tough fight. Cody didn't make it easy," I told the café owner seriously.

We spent a couple of minutes talking, I agreed to come and have a photo with him in my gear over the next few days so he could put it on his wall. Then he headed back to the kitchen.

With Amy holding my hand proudly in the seat beside me, Darren and Toni on the other side of the table, I noted that it was a beautiful morning. We could hear the sounds of the ocean crashing onto the shore in the background. Taking it all in together, I felt a sense of peace and happiness I hadn't felt for a long time.

Enjoying the morning and with Michael's comments, we started a conversation between the four of us around the fight.

"Has anyone heard how Cody is?" I asked. So much happened last night that I forgot to ask how my opponent was. In the ring, it was never personal. Even with trash talk, the victor would usually reach out to the loser within a couple of days and offer condolences.

Darren snickered a little.

"I got word from the event managers about an hour ago while you were in the shower. Cody only woke up this morning with no memory of the fight's final round. He's got a headache like he's been drinking for three days straight; his arms and torso are bruised so badly that they are looking to postpone his follow-up match another six weeks to let him recover."

Darren looked at me with a critical eye. "They told me his opponent, Aaron Masters, doesn't want to fight Cody anymore. He's gunning for you."

"You mean he wants to fight me?" I asked. Aaron had toured the world a year ago and won many more fights than he lost. He was three to one odds to win against Cody, while I was six to one to lose to Cody.

Darren nodded. "If you're interested, I wouldn't do it for a while. I would need to get you into a specific training regime. But..."

I dismissed the question.

"No, as much as it does interest me, last night was great to win, but it was a near thing. I don't need to put myself out for that again too soon." I responded, sipping my coffee, contemplating the impact that last night could have on my fighting career.

We continued to talk. Darren walked me through my moves and defensive measures through a video he took on his phone. The girls sat and listened. At one point, Toni turned to Amy and asked.

"So, how did you like the fight last night?" Darren's girlfriend asked mine with a question on her brow, telling us this was a loaded question.

"Which one, the one in the ring or the carpark?" she said, grinning. We all laughed at that.

"The one in the ring," Toni said once we stopped laughing.

"They both went to my man, but the one in the ring was amazing," my girlfriend responded, smiling at me, her eyes staring at me in adoration. "I watched Robbie preparing, and I am so glad both of you could come up and help. But the way Robbie moved, he took that guy's punches and kept coming at him. Even if he hadn't won, I would still be proud of him." She beamed.

I smiled and kissed her.

"I've also gotten a dozen messages from my ALRO team that attended; they also loved it. Robbie will be very popular when he's around them," Amy told us, her hand never leaving me as she spoke.

Toni nodded sagely, "You know Georgia would never come to his fights?"

"Yeah, I know. She used to bitch and moan at me when we spoke about it. But I guess she saw what a badass my man really is last night." Amy responded with another grin, squeezing my arm.

We spent another half hour talking through my moves, how I threw a kick, how I took Cody's punches and how I could pull off that finishing move.

"So Robbie," Darren said, indicating he was changing the topic. "What about the other fight? Do you know what you're going to do about your family?"

I thought about it for a moment, recalling several conversations that Amy and I have had about it over the past few months. I shrugged. "I don't know. My father's tone was final. I'm guessing he's coming for me. But if he thinks I'm going to lay down without a fight, he's got another thing coming. I'll lay waste to all of them if they want to take it that way."

"We will," Amy amended sternly.

"Sorry?" I asked Amy.

"WE will lay waste to them," my girlfriend repeated, emphasising the plural being the two of us. "Robbie, this is not a fight I will let you do on your own. You are my man, and if they really are stupid enough to come at you, they also come at me. After threatening you last night, I recall that your father also threatened me. I've even got it recorded with his approval," she smiled. I could almost see her salivating at the challenge.

We spent the rest of our time talking through a few different scenarios. Then we walked back up home. The four of us got changed, grabbed towels and headed down to the beach.

For the next few hours, we alternatively swam, then sat on the beach. Darren and I enjoyed body surfing while the girls frolicked and sunned themselves in their bikinis. I don't think I have mentioned Toni's body yet. She's a few years older than me, but she's fit, as she works out with Darren a few times a week. She's got small breasts in the A-cup range but a waist and an ass that makes guys always look back as she walks past. You'll always hear Darren laugh and Toni grin whenever a guy looks back.

While they are not married, they have been together for over fifteen years, having gotten together during high school. Toni lamented now and then that there was a low chance of her falling pregnant, but they have done well as a couple, never letting it get in their way. I was always proud that Darren stayed by Toni's side, never wavering in his loyalty to her.

Today in her pale yellow bikini, Toni showed why. Amy, by contrast, had curves that made almost every guy want to walk up and ask her out on the beach. Indeed a few guys did; Amy laughed, simply pointed me out, telling them I was her boyfriend. When one guy wouldn't take no for an answer, Amy asked if he had watched the fight last night. He said no, but saw the highlights on YouTube. Amy pointed at me again, telling him to look at who her boyfriend was. I don't think I have seen someone walk away that quickly.

After a few days of relaxing and enjoying their company, Darren and Toni headed home.

The following week, it was time. The morning of the final divorce hearing, Amy and I woke, showered and while she made some work calls, I called George, and he confirmed the early afternoon meeting along with the fact that he would be there. We spoke for a few more minutes, then as we hung up, I sighed expressively.

"You alright, baby?" Asked Amy as she came onto the balcony, which was quickly becoming one of my favourite spots to think. She was on hold for a conference call with one of her European people and one of her distributors.

"Yeah, it's going to be an interesting afternoon." I lamented.

Amy laughed, "yes, that it is, baby, that it is." The call started then; Amy winked at me, jumping on the call for fifteen minutes before we finished getting ready to drive down the coast.

Unlike when we drove up here from the Gold Coast, we would be taking Amy's car. And what a car it was. It was worth almost two hundred thousand dollars. Amy had an imported a right-hand drive converted, customised 2021 Shelby Mustang, including a thoroughly reworked exhaust system and supercharger. It was in artic white and had the classic mustang, blue racing stripes down the middle of the car along with a low-profile rear spoiler. Of course, it was finished with the black Shelby cobra on the grill. The first time I saw the car, I was in awe.
