The suspension of disbelief just didn’t happen here, the premise was ok and you could’ve sold it but without some character development, we don’t buy into your characters making the jump. Yes the mom wants to have another child but why? She’s already got three. What’s the driver for her? Further what’s the driver for her to cross the boundary she’s going to cross? That’s the sale you didn’t make.

Laughable. Almost seems like someone hacked into your account and tried writing a story.

Even if it could be rationalized that he became sterile after the first children were born, this clearly states that he knows he can't sire another. When she suddenly becomes pregnant, are they expecting three wise men from the east? What, he's not going to ask who's the father?

For stories in this category, some suspension of belief is often necessary, but this is beyond suspension of belief. You could have easily covered this by adding something such as it was his suggestion, and he was giving them some time alone, but didn't.

The suspension of belief also goes for her knowing a week later she's not only pregnant but is pregnant with twins.
