"You're making your pregnant girlfriend walk all the way..."
Dan was on one knee when she walked into the room. She froze in mid sentence and started crying.
"Shannon, please make me the happiest man in the world and help me right our wrongs. Help me stop wasting love and time. And give OUR baby, a father. Will you marry me my love?"
"Yes, oh god yes!"
"Thank god." He said.
She smacked his shoulder.
He kissed her as passionately as he ever kissed her before and said, "I've waited most of my life for you to say that to me."
"God, what wasted time." She said as she kissed him.

Very enjoyable, and an interesting ending that might upset some folks because he is accepting another man's child...
...but since he had no formal relationship with her when she became pregnant, that could easily be considered an adoption.
There is really no cuckolding here.

Sadly, in real life, probably very few get to correct, making wrong choices like Shannon did.
That makes the story all the more poignant.
