First I wanted to thank you for this chapter, I really loved reading Faye's in this arc. I also have a few questions. I was almost hoping to see if she would abandon the crew just so I could see what she would come up with considering the problem of them still following the same tech and tactics of there enemies. Faye ability to think outside the Progenitor box Actually reminded me of another AI story I recently read that was similar to Jack Campbell's "Lost Fleet" at ( http://www.novelupdates.com/series/unparalleled-path-reincarnated-as-the-ai-for-a-space-battleship/ ). It's first chapters actually share an interesting tactic for countering near light speed shielded mass rounds by using a ship AI (like ship rail gun version of the sharks weapons). I share the link to the novel as thanks in advance for taking time to read and answer my questions:

1) Why does no one use missles or guided projectiles with radiation damage other than on bombers? Missles going at near hyper warp speeds would be dangerous because of radiation. Or could they be used by a race we have not met?

2) Considering Faye will get a physical body will it be influenced by Main characters progenerator side? How would that even work with AI with no built in genetic code. Her memory was wiped so she does not have built in orders to force her to obey him completely. I think the direction you are going that Faye is not is more interesting because it's a refreshing difference.

3) Can you give us any hints about what is going on with that female earth commander introduced in this chapter? I could not help but be very suspicious at her beautiful looks.

A good story building chapter to catch my breath. I'm not certain John could ever grow as strong as his adversary, he has so much more experiance than Johns crew. How long does a Projen. live for anyway ? I'm sure you mentioned it, there's not much you leave out of a story. The interaction between John, Alyssa, and Sakuras Mother and Father, was unexpected and revealed more of Johns ability !

They live until they're killed once they have their first thrall. Even if all their thralls die then they won't until something other than time takes them.

I know Rachel can gather a lot of information about patients just by touching them, and is able to essentially memorize dna. Wouldnt it be possible for her to set up a small, temporary health clinic near where Dana grew up and use the patients genomes to find close matches? Even if she found some that shared great great grandparents or something, she could start filling in the gaps in faulty records. Given enough time and patients, they would have a decent chance of figuring out her parents, or at the very least close relatives....i know thats a lot of time and effort to go through for not much reward, but once things have settled down for the crew, it would be a nice way to tie up another loose end

The ships messages will now be overwhelmed with requests from people with sick relatives, (and I presume one of them will be from a certain former racing drivers daughter, which will tie Truckstop Takedown into the main story)

But today I am in nitpicking mode. Sorry. But there is one detail I have thought about now and then during the story. As I have understood it, all of Johns girls have exactly the same measurements after their change. This seems natural for a "normal" Progenitor. They don't care about their thralls, other than how good they are at doing their bidding. It would be more efficient for them all to be the same. the Progenitors don't care for individuality. John do. Yes, he has a certain preference when it comes to body type. But I don't think he consciously would make them all Identical in body shape. For example. It would be natural that even though Sakura may grow a bit, that she still is shorter than the others, since she is of Asian origin. And the others should perhaps retain certain characteristics common for their ethnicity to.

Maybe now that John has more control over his transformative powers, he subconsciously would change them according to their own inner wishes to. So they become a combination of his preferred body shape, and what they want themselves.

Besides, i don't think John would mind a bit of variation. Anyway, this is just nitpicking. Luckily they all have separate personalities at least. That is the most important thing.

That's very true, he wouldn't deliberately make any changes to them at all if he could help it. Unfortunately, a lot of his abilities work purely by instinct and Progenitors love order and uniformity.

John's OCD in the early chapters was that repressed instinct manifesting itself. That behaviour only went away when he and Alyssa started building the crew of girls.

Can you give us an update..please

Each chapter took about an hour to read so yeah 86 hours over 4 weeks. Im ingrossed in it. I love how the sex was part and parcel to progressing the story and not just gratuitous. And that this story so far has left no loos ends. I cant wait for the next installments. My only slight in this glorious epic is a lack of female imbellished perspective in the love making considering the psychic links. Yes theres basic feeling and discritption but embellishments would be nice. But i digresses in that the author has done an amazing job discribeing the male perspective and having only insite into one sex over the other. So its with the utmost respect and gratitude that i wish you the best tefler and wait with baited breath for the next installments. Thankyou.

IMO this is the best story I've seen in Literotica. The sex brought me in, but the story and characters is keeping me here. Good work, and please keep it up! One aspect of this I find interesting is the interplay between masculine and feminine foci. Yeah, the primary character is masculine, and the space battle scenes, harem, &c are clearly masculine. But a huge amount of time is spent of female character development and relationships/feelings, i.e. the feminine. Very unusual for a sex-focused story. I can't wait to see the remaking chapters!

progenitor has the instinct to dominate, can you imagine hundreds of John progenitor child out to dominate every species and fighting within themselves for control of the galaxy.

Assume they would be progenitors. (and no doubt teenage rebellion will be an interesting phase.

I assume that Progenitors would be able to choose whether their children are Progenitors or the race of the mother. Reproducing with hundreds of thralls is their M.O. to breed their private armies, and they're an inherently solitary and competitive territorial race, so it wouldn't make sense for them to have Progenitor children willy nilly, and that's not supported by the evidence.

The two theories I'm considering: either Progenitors can choose if and when they want to have a child that is also a Progenitor, in which case it's entirely up to John, OR, the child is always the race of the mother, and the only way to create a new Progenitor is to have a baby with a female Progenitor, like Alyssa. The ability to CREATE female Progenitors seems like it doesn't make a lot of sense unless it's a natural part of their life cycle. I suspect this will be revealed towards the end of the series, and John will have to choose whether he wants to allow the Progenitor race to carry on.

It seems that although Nymphs can assume any form & look exactly human it would only take Rachel a few seconds to do a discrete scan to find the distinctive crystal heart of a nymph . So it wouldn't be obvious That John was looking for them so if they happened to "disappear" after a visit from him he wouldn't hopefully be suspected .

or it could be that jade is like a beacon or radar. when she drink John sperm her body is acting like a radar with continuous pulse and the dot which are like stars the coordinates of other nymphs.

I wouldn't say that he's going to decide that progenitors should or shouldn't continue living on. But you are right that by the end of this he needs to choose how he wants to alter the progenitor race, to improve what is normally a race of slavers. A new begininng.

Or maybe not. I think that bettween mael, john, alyssa and the astral monster it's clear that progenitors were not always totally evil and that they were never meant to be so.

The motivations of various progenitors are still extremely vague, but the fact that the astral monster is somehow connected to john's bonding network is forboding. If progenitors are always attacked by massive astral plane monsters in their eariler years, then the only reason they aren't extinct is if john (and mael) was the only progenitor lucky enough to have a matriarch that could lead them away from the darkness and drive back the astral monster.

Which begs another question. Was mael's matriarch (forgot her name) a female progenitor? It only makes sense. How else would she pass on the genes for psyhic abilites? I doubt a regular thrall would do that.

To sum up, i believe that the progenitors once existed as a civilization that was attacked by the astral plane monsters. Monsters won and the species was then corrupted, with alyssa and mael's matriarch being the first female progenitors created for eons. As a result, only john can bring about restoring his species to their formal glory by stopping the monster from parasitically living off the minds and bodies of male progenitors and their thralls.

Mael just got lucky, while john was a good person to begin with which helped him build a crew and matriarch that was pure and could withstand attempts to corrupt

I respectfully disagree. My reasoning is below.

First: Rachel has stated within the story that Progenitors are a created race.

Second: The Progenitors who are aligned with the Astral Plane Leviathan are not attacked by it...this is also born out in the story where the Laviathan gloated over John several times in the initial visits and did not attack until it was clear that John was deviating from its preferences for John.

Third: If Mael's Matriarch was a Progen she would have been able to heal herself and she would not have aged. She also would have been much more powerful.

It has been stated that alyssa is a progenitor because she has the potential to learn all the progenitor powers, if i recall correctly. And she presumably has the ones that didn't have to be actively learned by john already, in particular, healing. At least that is my reasoning.

I dont believe so for a few reasons the main one being that her guide would have done so before this and that she needed johns cum to heal another i think rach had to heal her once

, .... it is approximately six months into this story by this chapter (#86) and so much has happened, John and his crew are finding out so much more about his heritage (Progenitor), ... if it wasn't for his f**ked up Guide (PJ) then Dana would be building him more technologically advanced gear already, ... but their struggling to piece scraps together is making them stronger as a team, so that's a good thing, ... and for a new Progenitor of less than a year, John is pretty strong already, ... *** spoiler alert*** it is just a fortunate bit of personality and ego that 'caused Larn'kelnar to not immediately invade, but to play puppet master instead, which actually helped John to grow and learn things (Onxyium, Quantum rifles, wormhole generators, to name a few) that they all needed or will need to eventually defeat this Progenitor, (Lucky?) ... *** ... ;-) TTFN

Holy $h!t, as a man who has lost both of his parents, that scene with Sakura's parents made me bawl like a baby. I had to stop reading for several minutes. You have done what only 2 other authors have done in my entire life, made me cry over a story.
