would be great if she fell down a flight of stairs headfirst. would be even better if it was hubby who finally became a man and pushed her.

That was intriguing. I look forward to what follows but expect parts of it will be difficult. Thanks

I HATE breakup stories, but having said that, this drew me in, it intrigued me and dared me to go to your other works an find out what this woman was doing. Bravo! for that I'll give it a 4. But for angering Mr. Anonymous the uno-bomber so deliciously I'll bump that up to five. I think he nuked my submission to Letters of Love too. He's probably just angry that there's no Pederasty category

Ah, Duleigh you just made my day. The stories are lined up to go, Ender, but a few weeks away from release point yet. First attempt in noncon/reluctance so have purchased fireproof underwear in preparation

Hi, oneagainst, here from the Letters of Love challenge. Reading this letter without the context of the other stories referenced leaves a number of ways it can be interpreted, some sad and some sadder still. I felt for them both and would hope that there is some path for redemption for each, but the ring of finality at the end leaves me sad and not very hopeful. Great play on the emotions. 5*.

SouthernCrossfire: thanks for the comment... it's been an interesting challenge, eh?

Fuck! I didn't come here to be sad. And so the mood is bad, and antidepressants do not work.

But well written.

I read this after I read Chapter 17 of Alena's Game. The letter is a great coda to the story. Well done!

Beautifully written.

“All my cruelty was inflicted with the best intent”. What nonsense. That’s trying to justify the torment, pain, humiliation and cruelty she inflicted on another human being who was stupid enough to stay married to her.

I can always hear the character's voices. That may seem expected, but it's very hard to do well. Alena's voice comes through beautifully and consistently. Very well done.
