beginning to hate the word BABE - it has become so fucking monotonous in its use - a lazy writers word.
This chapter, along with the previous one, provide the reader with a dramatic contrast to chapters 7 and 8. In Chapters 9 and 10, Genevieve moves back towards love, and away from what she had come to realize was distasteful and ugly by the end of Chapter 8. In this chapter, one can discern more than ever the continuing transformation of Genevieve. Once again, the author advances the plot at a gentle pace, and does not rush his storytelling, for which the reader can only be grateful.
