"Her and I settled in to talk ..."?

Would you say "Her settled down to ...."? OR "She settled down to ..."?

'Her went shopping' or 'She went shopping'?

So, it SHOULD be "SHE and I settled ...."!

I am thinking that the kid he is tutoring is the result of their last encounter like this, 14 years prior. That smart kid gets it from his dad, not that violent insult to humanity she got around to divorcing, whose name is on the birth certificate.
