Wow, androgynousLavender, really hot story. A great start to a great series! I hope you keep the mood the same in the next chapter. If the stepdad suddenly become a gay astound it'll be such a turnoff because it won't be believable. Not that that's what you have planned, but it' just what 90% of the authors here do. Really develop the story and the characters over time. And try to keep the son from becoming a gay rockhound. It just isn't believable (and it's a real turnoff) when characters suddenly change like that. Of course, just my two cents! I just want to enjoy this story over a longer than shorter time.
