the similar story is The Private Party. Its one of my favorites. I really enjoyed your take and it was sufficiently dissimilar to stand on its own. Would love to see this go another part or two.. Thanks for this post.

You are right. This is almost word for word, "The Show" written by another Lit author. I like them both.
