Showing up at Mark's home sober was a first step, but not being able to shop for groceries or even grab a coffee together shows how much more Glenn has to come to terms with. This chapter also did a great job of showing that Mark has a few self-worth issues himself if he's willing to accept a relationship with someone who doesn't want to be seen with him. Can't wait to see where this goes from here.
Another great chapter. It took me a long time to accept being seen in public with another man as a couple. Even then, while walking along Exeter quayside holding my lover's hand, a bloke cycled passed shouting, "fucking faggots should be shot!" Not pleasant but I'd overcome my fear of being 'out' some while back, so just shouted back, "Better than being an ugly bigot!"
Fantastic chapter, their relationship is growing. Of course, there is long journey for Glen. As Mark says: 'I reckoned he still had a long way to go, before he accepted who he was and was comfortable being open about his sexuality'. This in case that everything goes smoothly, step by step. But what if somebody see them and discover their little secret?!
