I mean the guy is a completely irredeemable asshole now. In chapter 1 and 2 it could have just been threats but this cements it that he is a psychopathic. It's rich that he "loves her in his own way" that way being as a object to keep around the house. The only way this can end well for me now is if she leaves him for good.
