Great story, making Carmen super women is ok. You did a great job tying in the L word characters. The murder mystery solves the problem with the final season Your resolution is far better than a one sentence noted in the sequel that Jenny committed suicide. Addressing Shane's weaknesses, in my mind became the guts of the "murder mystery" . You clearly have a sense of humor bringing up the Dani Riss character as Lauren's crush, after googling the actress portraying her.

Have no idea if you plan to follow up after Carmen goes on her six month cruise. This is tricky. You have provided that the romance is done. And noted in the addendums more story may follow.
