I'm willing to bet that you will be ignoring your future traffic tickets from now on!

The flow of your story was a little fast paced and giving away that the bottom wanted it before the end really took something away from the whole reluctance aspect. Additionally more than once saying 'we'll get to that later' or som variation of was just annoying. But a decent story overall.
