Unexpected ending; the early hint was there as plain as black and white text.

The early portion where the wife did porn test was a real turn on and same time -

In most of BG's stories the female MC reacts to divorce by turning into a superslut but he's broken with tradition here by having Deanna's superslut behaviour being the cause of the divorce. The outline/plot was good until it was not.

Should have turned his wife away. Go no contact with the daughter. Marry the girlfriend and have at least one more kid to start over. And he suggests that his new woman seduce his ex, and has the ex come back for repeated booty calls? Convenient plot device I guess, but not good character development.

Why does the mother seem to believe that if she hadn't done her cheating, then she would have eventually been unfaithful... that makes no sense, and frankly hearing that come out of your wife/husbands mouth would not seem to engender the level of just pure indifference it does with Paul. And on top of that, why does Deanna even bother to track down Paul if she's not at least making some sort of effort to salvage her relationship with him.

I think largely due to these unresolved questions and the seemingly disconnected actions of the various characters (often contradicting themselves) it doesn't feel very "real" or coherent to me as a story. It's 4 pages which is not particularly short for a story, but there's no real character growth here and I'm struggling to see any kind of overall arc here either. Hell, you just kind of end it with a "and this is what happened".
