Apart from an admittedly questionable choice of category (though as a Legend of LW he’s within his rights), this is one of LaptopWriter’s best in years. Absolutely loved it.

Okay, since it’s in the Loving Wives category I’m thinking; when’s the other shoe going to drop? Good story, and I’ll try and check out some of your other work. Never does one story make a writer, good or bad ☀️

Too good to be true. must be in Romance

Too good to be true. RISE from Ragpicker to cover model of Vogue, although near impossible, can be imagined but living that life for 3 years and then returning to the old life is 200% impossible.

Very Good

A wonderful feel good story. I was waiting for the MC to have to go on without his love. Some have said not realistic but I say doesn't matter as this story was entertaining and that's the main point for any story.

Thanks for your hard work.

What I most enjoy about this fine author's work is that his characters speak and act like normal human beings. They are thoroughly believable. Suspending disbelief takes no effort at all.

Very well done.

Hmm, goes from street hooker fucking the gas station guy to chaste globe trotting supermodel travelling the globe, never fucking anybody, not believable. If she had been a homeless woman fighting to keep her virtue and then was rescued might be believable. Not a LW story.

Neither party ever wavered in their commitment to each other in this story, which was refreshing. Classic rescue of a distressed damsel but the story is so well written that you can’t help but enjoy the ride! Well done.

Five stars for a nice romance. I, too, don't believe that living as a super model for three years, she wouldn't realize that she was out of his league. He was some guy that hit her with his car. She would probably still be a street person if he hadn't lifted her up so maybe she stayed out of guilt.

Sometimes a wild tale of treachery and betrayal is just the thing. Tonight I wanted to read a story of non-transactional kindness with true love and a happy ending. This story delivers that really well. Thanks for the time well-spent reading this tale. 5*

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 month ago

This is a lovely story, and I certainly wish it could actually take place. It seems unlikely to me, however, that a model who began her career by doing full nudity photo shoots could later be successful in high fashion modeling. The two worlds of erotic/pornographic modeling and fashion modeling seem to have no intetersection.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 month ago

Phenomenal! A story with a good ending

WargamerWargamerabout 1 month ago

Great story, but it was a very good Romance hardly a Loving Wives tale.

I really liked it it was told in the tradition Laptopwriter tells them and it scores 5/5

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 month ago

Why wasn’t this in Romance?

.

Maybe because it’s Lit, I just can’t seem to believe Megan did fuck around constantly in tne years she was away. Yeah…they weren’t even engaged, but still…

.

To that end, this ending in a “happy ever after” was pretty much too hard to believe. But OK.

I really enjoyed the story. Very well written. My initial instinct was to rate a 4/5 because the whole modeling across the world without ever banging someone in that occupation seemed far-fetched to me. But what the hell? This is fiction and I love a good ending. So I amend my score to 5/5. Thank you for a great story! BRB

got a cashier's check for what she stole and sent it to the corporate CFO alone with a full explanation for why she took it, the rapes she suffered at the hands of the night manager, and her suspicions concerning the robbery. I drove her to the next town over so the postmark wouldn't reveal her location and watched her drop in the mailbox.

/

/

A cashiers check is drawn on a bank account, meaning it is trackable, so post marking the envelope from another town would be pointless

.

also given the store had CCTV they would have been able to pull footage and get her face, again making her trackable

And thats not even considering all the sex he gave up

A lovely and sweet story. I felt like John should have been bolder and gone to France. I was very nervous that the story would punish John for cowardice by having Megan fail John and move on.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 month ago

A very nice Romance story. Great plot and characters. A distracting level of detail about irrelevant items, like what kind and how many lights he was going to use. Probably added 40% to the length of the story while adding nothing to the quality of the story. Details are not the same thing as substance. "We had a marvelous 5-course French dinner." As opposed to paragraphs about what was cooked, how it was prepared, how the menu was chosen, which wines were pared with each coarse, the size of the servings, the pattern of the plates, . . . etc. Less is more. Give it a try. And thanks for the effort.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 month ago

This is the story of a unicorn. One extremely rare soul who saw life for what it really is... the love and friendship you get from people who are really important in your life. The people to whom you owe integrity and appreciation.

In her case, it was obviously her earlier life experiences that showed her just how valuable true relationships are. Without the no-strings-attached help with which she had been blessed, she could even be dead before she was a full adult. I think that makes the difference. Entitlement was never ingrained in her, like it is for so many people now. So all she had to do, was stay true to her inner nature, and not be dazzled by the money and glamour. She just needed wisdom beyond her years, and well beyond the norm.

It's this that makes the story marginally possible.

The chance of it working out the way it did, is probably about a one in a billion, but it's your story, so that's what happened and I'm glad for your characters.

10 big blazing stars to writer. Only problem was ending too unrealistic! The real conclusion was she was fucking all these models she was meeting at all the gigs. She got into drugs like MDMA ecstasy cocaine and more. Had orgies almost every night, feel in love with the "fast lane" she burned everyone that helped her and forgot about them all. Finally she OD on heroin never heard from again. Sad but much more realistic. She used her pussy to get thru life and like most homeless women became a whore. Modeling just changed her John's. If she had a y feelings for her almost Hubby she NEVER EVER would have left him for Paris. She was just a cheap whore I. The end. Buster2U

J'apprécie le style et l'histoire. Et surtout le fait qu'elle puisse nous emmenr dans plusieurs directions et ne jamais laisser préjuger la fin. Vraiment agréable.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 month ago

Perfect story for Loving Wives. There were several moment of reader's angst, like when John got to the beach shoot. The cynic expected John to see the photographer pawing at a smiling but top-less Megan in order to "pose" her. Or maybe John does go to Paris and arrives just as Megan walks out of her apartment holding on to some GQ stud, telling him "You're a great lover Henri. You really know how to use that big coc...?!...John! You're in Paris!?"

So glad it ended well for John and Megan. 5 of them!

Wouldn't the hospital have filled out the birth certificate?

\

"No, she'd just try to talk me into going back and I can't live like that again. I could never go back to that." - She's an adult, her mother can TRY to talk her into going back, she can say, "No."

\

If she had no ID, how would the gas station have known who to file charges against? They obviously didn't, LOL!

\

"I only took it because I hadn't been paid and I figured they owed it to me" - If they owed it to her, why does she need to pay it back?

\

"grey suit with the big red "S"" - Grey? I thought Superman's suit was blue?

\

Okay, I love a happy ending, and this was an easy five stars, but it was an obvious fairy tale. In reality, he never would have made three years, would have barely made one.
