...a sequel or another story, but as yet I don't know whether to continue with the lives of these two boys, which will require a change in narrative style, or to start a story about Tom and Steve, minor characters in this series. I would welcome suggestions.

Thank you for a remarkable story....I think that you have tied up the story exceptionally well with no need to continue with David and Jon.... maybe with Don as another character? or even Luke?
