Anyhow, I got a big kick out of this alternate take on the "You're My Mate!" tale. I enjoy Lacey's peppery voice as narrator. And how can you not love her ducky pajama wedding night attire? (Talk about a buzz killer for poor Elijah.) I wish that Elijah was a little more appealing, but maybe that will come with time.

The letters kind of made me flinch and almost stop reading, but after she meets the alpha the rest was good. you got humor in the story as well as setting up a good base for the plot and characters. Waiting for Ch 2.

The whole story line seems original from the Alpha, to his spying, to his wanting to married in 5 minutes so they could mate. And that says nothing of how his new mates feels. The fact that she has her own way of dealing w/stress is wonderful.

Love that this alpha is under 6 feet tall. I prefer a slice of plastique to a bundle of dynamite. Too many people think alphas need to be huge and hulking with big packages, but there are times when delicious surprises come in unassuming wrappings.
