I enjoyed Fran's telling of her side of the potion's effect. It reminds me of a 1960 Twilight Zone TV show called "The Chaser" in which Roger, who came across as a creep, used a love potion so Leila would fall in love with him. The story is only told from Roger's viewpoint, but the unfairness of Leila's enslavement to the potion is never even mentioned.
