Amazing. I love this story. I don't want the picture because the way you wrote it, the smile I envision, I see it like a movie of a book, the truth is she's never going to match how beautiful you made her look in your story.

Over the last year I've reread this story three times. I'll probably read it again. What makes this piece so much better than almost anything I've found on Literotica, other than the high quality of the editing and writing is that it has a reality that is irresistible. I could imagine it actually happening. In fact, parts of it did happen to me. I would bet that many readers found one part or another or several well within their own experience and fond memories. The only thing I found hard to believe is that Joel did not fall in love with Cyn and carry that first love with him for the rest of his life -- or, given the warmth and gentleness and respect of his telling, he did carry that love with him.

I do have a request. If you are willing and can find the right person to collaborate with I would love to read Cynthia's memories of that golden summer. Perhaps she could somehow read Joel's story, recognize it as hers too, and complete the circle. There are a number of very fine women writers on this site who might be up to the task and willing to take it on if you are willing to go there.
