Example - "... eyeing the trail of wet close ..."?? Perhaps - "... eyeing the trail of wet clothes ..."??

Wet wooden floors easy an 'easy clean up'? So long as the water hasn't damaged or stained the wood!!

Stop keep flipping tenses!!

Example - "he wanders ..." then later - "he fingered ..."

Back and forth, back and forth! Never sure whether it's Present Tense or Past Tense!!
