A solid 5.

Author clearly demonstrates knowledge of the subject matter and illustrates the singular importance of trust in a working D/S relationship. Characters were well developed and easily believable. Exquisitely written.

borders on real abuse of a slave

making her eat her work was not really necessary, she had already proven her training and loyalty. Some want to bes more than they are are often tempted to go beyond reality.

A good piece of fiction

Very simply put, this story is a good piece of fiction. It will inevitably garner some poor responses from the very few readers who are simply not literate enough to recognize that it is a genre piece.

The "Château Roissy" genre is arguably the seminal work of modern BDSM erotica. One must give a nod to De Sade in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, and the various Victorian diversions such as "The Pearl," but much of the modern genre exploded from Desclos/Aury's work. As such, it is probably the most popular and widely written genre of BDSM erotica in existence. As such, most work in the genre lacks originality, energy, and occasionally even structure, and that makes this a daunting genre in which to produce work.

The author of this piece has risen to the challenge. There is an intensity that exceeds the usual "dog and pony show" of an auction. The mechanism is an exacting focus on the protagonist's mental process which makes the work into a thematic whole with a painfully sharp confrontation and an powerful resolution.

If you like your BDSM vanilla, with the bonds and leather as nothing more than stage dressing to jazz up a dull sex life, or if submission to you is mostly an excuse for fucking, you will probably not like this work, though it is my suspicion that some readers of this class will be adequately provoked by its themes to respond negatively.

On the other hand, if you are fascinated by the chance to peer into the actual thought processes of a submissive, experience the rise and fall of her passions, and are not afraid of the sort of sharp light of psychological reality that we see in mainstream fiction of the better sort, this is an excellent work. I await the second installment with some anticipation.

generalization

I always wonder about the extent to which such theses generalize. For example, has the incarceration epidemic confronting Afro-American men in the United States left eligible bachelors in short supply in urban areas, which leaves Afro-American women time to consider options other then [sic] domestic bliss? Still, I wouldn't eat my thesis or respect any "Sir" who asked me to do so. It's imposible for me to lust after a woman's body without respecting her mind and her intellectual accomplishments. Your last kinky lover enjoyed reading The Economist, as I recall.

Ch 02?

I find the exploration of the psyche fascinating, and I applaud how vividly 98's experience is illustrated in this piece. A friend of mine pointed me at this story and it didn't disappoint; I look forward to reading the second installment.

Great work

Although to a certain extent I agree with another commenter's criticism about eating the thesis. I think it also shows 98's commitment to her master. I would love to see a second chapter.

Brilliantly constructed ....

.... and paced. Indeed, it is wonderfully conceived.

This piece is on a completely different level from any other contribution I have read on the site. You are a wonderfully gifted writer, able to mine the thought and emotional processes of your protagonist.

Good luck with your future writing career - I am sure that it will be very prosperous!

Yawn. Over the top cliché. Boring.

I try my best to write something true. Always found reality sexier than fantasy.
