"Are you sure, you're not taking me out here to kill me and bury the evidence?" Angel couldn't help but ask teasingly, trying to lighten the tension between them.

Chuckling softly, Cullen couldn't help but shake his head. "No sweetie. I do not want to kill you."

Soon, we pulled into a spot, and turned off the ignition. I got out, and walked around to open the door for Angel. Again, I began to lead her down this path, which I knew would open up into a small clearing where there was a bench. When we arrived there, I let Angel sit down. There was no way that I could. I couldn't help but pace, while I tried to form a sentence...anything.

"Cullen, I can see the hamsters running on that wheel in your head. Just spit it out before they pass out, and then where would that leave you?" Angel tried to joke with Cullen slightly, to ease the tension.

"Angel, I know this might sound crazy. Actually, I know this will sound crazy, but I will need you to hear me out. And please, don't be scared or scream or for that matter, please don't run either. I know we have only met today, and I know we haven't gotten off on the right foot, but please try to have an open mind." Cullen said softly. Still he couldn't help but pace once again.

"Ok Cullen. I promise you I won't scream. And I don't know why I'm saying this, but for some odd reason, I do trust you when you say you wouldn't hurt me." Taking a deep breath, "Please can you just say what you need to say, or I will have to seriously hurt you. If you haven't figured it out already, I'm not that patient." Angel stated, while shrugging her shoulders innocently.

Cullen stopped pacing, and smiled at Angel for her remark. She really does have a feisty personality. Nodding, I walked closer to Angel, and sat down on the bench. Staring down at my hands, I asked softly, "What do you think about Lycans?"

"Lycans? As in werewolves?" Seeing that Cullen nodded slowly, I shrug. "I guess there are pretty good werewolf movies out there. But Cullen, I don't understand. What do Lycans' have to do with what we need to talk about?" I couldn't help but ask confusingly.

"Not just werewolves in movies. But what do you thi...do you believe in them?"

"Cullen, if you haven't noticed, I am not five years old anymore. I did learn from a young age, that many of the monsters in the movies are make-believe. But I do have to admit, that werewolves were always an interesting topic to me. I do enjoy reading Sci-Fi books about them, or watching movies." Shaking my head, chuckling softly, "And can you believe there are people out there, that actually write erotic stories about them and post their stories on a website? They must have really imaginative minds."

Sighing softly, "Angel, what if I were to say, that werewolves were real and not something out of a horror movie? That they actually do have families and live in a pack, and that their sole purpose is to find their mates?" I looked over at Angel, when she didn't answer me for a while. She was staring up at the sky, thinking. But then, all the sudden she started to smile.

"I would think then, that you need more help than I originally thought you did. If you want, I do know a few doctors that work with a couple patients at the hospital that can help you." Reaching down into my purse, I started to look for the number.

"Angel, I don't need help," I stated a bit forcefully. "I am perfectly sane." Taking a few breaths to calm down, I looked up at the moon. I could feel the pull of the moon, wanting nothing more but to let my wolf run.

"Cullen, you can't expect me to believe that werewolves are real! I'm not that gullible for crying out loud." I stated a bit angry. How can he believe that I am that stupid to actually believe in what he is telling me? It is all make-believe. Werewolves were just made up for entertainment purposes only—and that's it!

How the hell do I make her believe me? There is no choice but to show her I guess. I stood up, and turned to face her. "Yes, I do expect you to believe that werewolves are real. And," he continued right away, seeing how she was opening her mouth to retort back something, "I have no other way but to show you that they are real."

"And how do you plan on showing me Cullen?" It finally dawned on me, that he actually thought he was a werewolf. "You have got to be kidding me. Ok, Cullen, go ahead...please show me," I answered, smiling at how ridiculous this all was. Maybe it wasn't best to antagonize him; since it is obvious I am dealing with a complete lunatic.

Slowly Cullen began to take his shirt off. "Just remember Angel, what you promised earlier. That you wouldn't scream or run off." Slowly, I started to unfasten my pants.

"Yea I remembered what I promised. But I don't see how the hell you're going to prove to me you're a werewolf by doing a damn strip tease." I know I should turn away. But I couldn't help but look. My eyes were drawn to him. And damn, his body was beyond perfect. I was able to see all the muscles, and see every square inch of him was perfectly toned. How can someone look like a perfect sculpture? And it seemed like his body would be as hard and firm as a sculpture. Damn!

Once all my clothes were off, I stood there before her, letting her get a full look. Completely comfortable with myself being naked, I stood there, waiting. Soon, I saw a blush spreading across her cheeks, as her eyes were then rising up to meet my stare. If it was impossible to think that she could have turned even redder, she just proved me wrong. Smiling, I said softly, "Angel, just remember I would never do anything to hurt you." Now he started to feel the beginning of changing. With that said, I began to feel my bones popping.

Angel looked at Cullen. Staring in disbelieve and what she saw turned her blood to ice. She saw his body quivering in the moonlight as muscles rearranged themselves. With his eyes still watching her, his face narrowed and elongated, his hips and shoulders rolling back to form front and hindquarters while his back curved and arched. At the same time a small, stinging-like noise started to sound and Angel watched in absolute fascination as hair started to grow, covering his entire body. I couldn't help but watch spellbound, as a wave of unseen power washed over the clearing. In what really was a matter of seconds, there now stood a beautiful black wolf, with piercing eyes. Where did Cullen go? Where the hell did this wolf come from? It couldn't be...it just wasn't possible. This was no ordinary Timberland wolf. This wolf was huge! I know I'm not an expert on this matter, but wolves don't get to be that big. Shaking my head, No no no, werewolves don't exist!!

Cullen, laid down on his stomach right away, so that he wouldn't look so intimidating. She looked so pale right now...as if about to pass out.

Gasping for air, I tried to breathe. I began to feel really light headed. With a shaky voice, I called out, "Cullen?" Seeing this huge wolf, with what looked like nod, nodded at me. That was the last straw. Next thing I knew, everything started to turn black...welcoming me into the safe darkness of nothingness.

Then there was silence.

She passed out? Cullen couldn't believe it. Shifting back to my human form, I got down on my one knee, and carefully picked her up into my arms. Well, that is not the reaction I expected. Walking over towards the edge of the clearing, I sit down on the ground, with my back against the tree, I just hold her tightly against me—waiting for my Angel to wake. Sighing softly as I shake my head again; how did my life get so turned upside down?

P.O.V. suggestions

Soooooo. The incessant change between third and first person brings on a world of pain to my brain. And I suspect many if not most of your readers. When writing in first person, it is preferable that only one character and that character's thoughts be in first person. However, since it seems you want to express more than one person's thoughts, I suggest that maybe third person omniscient is the best choice for you. That means eliminating the use of "I" in your sentences not between italics. Just a thought for your future works. It would make them flow better. It might even be easier for your thought processes.
