Maybe the direction the author takes for the beginning of his/her story is acceptable. But the continual mind set for the husband, who is made to appear mentally impaired continues through the entire story. What is bothering the most is the authors Lack of Respect for Family in a story appearing in the category of "Loving Wives." To be realistic, you might find a husband such as the one you describe: perhaps in 1 of 1 million husbands roughly; and these poor souls need a lot of help which means that you the author should include behavioral intervention for husband and wife in your story. If you continue to compose Loving Wives stories, give the husband respect and make him the hero in the eyes of his wife and of family members and friends. Perhaps you might try composing an additional chapter to this tale remembering in which category you are writing your story and taking into consideration that you are including in your writing a family with young children. One trouble I sense is that the author just does not like family life and takes his/her dislike off in the writing, on both the husband and wife. Thank you, RAG
