The story rarely drags, but moves along at a pace that keeps the reader interested. Exciting plot twists, such as Gail, the new girlfriend, and the French store owner, that conflict with the character's interest with his aunts. The author displays and integrates impressively advanced learning, such as French and carpentry, into the story that adds to its well-roundedness.
