Before I start, let me say,
that I will sound like a bitch today.
A night filled with dance and dine,
slow songs, and lots of wine.
He were ever so fun and charming,
breaking my defenses without alarming.
We danced until the sun did rise,
a feat that parted my shrewd thighs.
In passions embrace, he rocked my world,
our tongues twisted, and my hips twirled.

Waking up on a bed of clouds,
sobriety removing all of his shrouds.
I turn my head to greet my lover,
gently removing his down cover.
I exclaimed as loud as I can,
"Oh Shit! You're not my man."
My Prince Charming, now a toad,
a chubby, bald, hairy chode.
What was the root of all this alarm,
if not the second bottle of Boones Farm.

Then for the first time in quite a while,
my new lover greeted me with a smile.
By some miracle, some odd way,
we were still waking together, every single day.
Even now, I can fail to see,
how my Chode Charming could dare love me.
With only two teeth and breath that is tart,
this gentle oaf had stolen my heart.
My lesson from Love at first fright,
judge with your heart, and not your sight.

Three goofy kids, all from an ugly dad,
are the greatest things, I've ever had.
I'm sure he still loves me for who I am,
my lesson, my green eggs and ham.
With my years passed, I can see how,
he was an angel and I was a sow
He was a prayer answered from above.
A man that even I could learn to love.
As I lay my King down to his rest,
of all my heart, his part was the best.

Surprise

At first I was amused, thinking it was just an anecdote. It was not what I was expecting. Thank you.

That didn't go where I expected and that reflects well on the author. Your poems get better and better x

Profound and deep. Very moving, thank you.

I loved to hear,

in rhymes, about

what has become

of two, turned out

to make a sum

of wink and tear
