You make me grateful that I submitted my one and only poem already. Your skill and deftness is intimidating. I'd be embarrassed to dip my toes in these waters again.

Words are the wings of emotions, transport them over long distances, from one to one. A fine selection of different moments of such connections.

My favorite - but closely followed by the others - 'Gentle Like The Dove', because of it's parabolic storytelling from dawn to dusk.

Thanks for sharing this variation with wings.

Those were seriously wonderful, not only individually, but as a collection: each different in form and content, yet making a cohesive whole.

And now I'm thinking about your summary line and how right it is. Crows, owls, even just any bird if it comes into your house...we seem to invest them with all kinds of meaning.

A variety - in style, mood and structure - on starting, landing, and in-flight love.

And since love is like life - born, growing, struggling and finally laid down to be washed away by tears - the references to birds seem natural, as they can be found everywhere on earth, in wind and water.
