Interesting, but I think the guy needs his head examined - He's playing with fire. Must not be fully in love with the wife. The no intimacy with wife must hurt her badly. As we saw in the previous chapter his actions cause her to cheat as well as him. The marriage isn't going to work out very well.

Having read the first chapter first this seems like superfluous detail. In actuality you could have swapped and made this the first. Unless you want to Tarantino it but then you’d need a few more chapters

This is the second chapter out of two in this series which has a disconcerting 3rd person to 1st person change early in the story.
