Steve savored the taste of superiority for a moment. Then, as his breath slowed down again and his mind started to clear, he stood up. He turned his head towards Ben.
"Alright, boy. This is how you do it. Remember this, you ain't gonna get a lesson like that again."
He did not wait for a response. Instead, he looked down again.
"Where's the shower?"
"Upstairs, baby."
He proceeded by picking up Jamila from the ground and carrying her towards the door. He knew from experience that she was in no position to walk up the stairs on her own right now. Before he left the room, Jamila looked back at Ben and said with a sweet, mischievous smile "Oh, and Ben: Please be a nice guy and clean up the room a little, ok? Steve and I will be a little... 'busy' for a while - if you know what I mean."
