Then a third figure vaulted in from the window and this figure was blue colored with what looked like a small fern on its head that was glowing a lighter blue. Knowing they were right next to Ann, Shadow rushed forward, only for the glow from the golden figure brightening to the point that Shadow was blinded and had to stop.

The glow dimmed only enough that Shadow was barely able to make out the floating electrical entity spin around the other two figures and Ann before all four teleported away. Shadow spun on his heal and ran out to the hallway.

"Kaetaria, I need you in Ann's room, NOW!" Shadow shouted, so that the sorceress came running in her light pink nightie.

"Some Fae, or something, just kidnapped Ann before I could get to her," Shadow growled, checking the area that they'd been in as if it would give a clue to where they went. "I need you to track them so we can go after them and get Ann back!"

Kaetaria's eyes glowed and she raised her arms halfway like her kind always did when they were using heavy magic. She chanted an incantation for a few seconds and frowned.

"It wasn't the Fae that took her, Master, there's no residual effects of magic," Kaetaria murmured and started chanting a different incantation.

She continued her chant, adding more unknown words to it, and finally the room started to glow pink until a yellow line appeared by the bed that looked like a doorway. Kaetaria let her arms drop, but her eyes still glowed to indicate she was still using her powers.

"I only know a few spells that reveal advanced technology, but that's one of them," Kaetaria explained. "Whoever or whatever took Ann used technology in the abduction, not magic...my guess is time-travelers or aliens."

"Lovely," Shadow groaned and then sighed. "Put clothes on us, we're going after her."

"As much as I'd hate to admit it, depending on what we find, we might want Matthias' help, Master," Kaetaria put in. "Two magical figures might be better defense than just one."

Shadow nodded while Kaetaria used her powers to put a sorceress gown on herself and civilian clothes of a T-shirt and jeans on Shadow. Shadow took out the card with Mattias' picture on it.

"Matthias, we need you," Shadow spoke clearly into the card.

After a few seconds, there was another bright glow and Matthias was in the room dressed in his usual khakis and a navy dress shirt. Before he could greet or say anything, Shadow quickly filled him in on the situation.

Matthias nodded and looked at the "doorway" by the bed. Ivy and Bella suddenly walked in the room, followed by the other subs, all now completely dressed and ready for action.

"Ann's our sister, we're going too," Bella said, looking at the yellow "doorway".

Shadow shook his head. "It might be too dangerous, and I won't put you girls willingly in danger," he said matter-of-factly. "Matthias, Kaetaria, and I will go get her and be right back. You ladies stay here."

The two magical beings and the human walked through the doorway and were in complete darkness for a moment.

Suddenly there was light, and they were in a large room that had walls made of metal and looked like it came from a science fiction movie set. Shadow raised his eyebrows as he looked around the room, clearly confused by what he was seeing.

"This place looks fucked up," Ivy's voice said behind him, and Shadow and the two magical beings turned around to see all the subs standing there.

"Really, ladies?!" Shadow said exasperatedly seeing all of them there. "Now really wasn't a good time to go the brat path."

Bella held up her hands defensively and shook her head. "We didn't come here willingly," she said matter-of-factly to which the other girls nodded. "After you three went through that doorway, everything went dark, then we were all here."

Shadow sighed but nodded. He turned around, noting that he and the magical beings would have to protect the others while they searched for Ann, so obviously caution and discretion was a must.

Well, discretion disappeared when odd music that sounded like at least three saxophones started playing in the room. The music was oddly specific and reminded Shadow of what he'd heard the stereotypical eighties porn themes sound like.

A large circular hole in the floor opened on the far side of the room and what looked like a futuristic elevator rose from it. A single metal door opened outwards from the "elevator" and the three creatures that Shadow had seen in Ann's room piled out, along with a fourth creature that looked the most bizarre of all of them.

The fourth creature stood about seven feet tall as far as the humans could tell and wore a long robe that went down to the floor. Its robe was colorful, though not in the traditional respect. It kept changing colors both in hues and tones going from one end of the rainbow to the other in rhythmic patterns.

The only bit of its body that was seen was its head, and the head was either light colored or softly glowed, the humans couldn't tell which. It didn't have a mouth and its large eyes took up about two-thirds of its face. The only evidence of a nose or at least nostrils was two slits under its enormous eyes.

Protruding from the neck of the robe was two things that looked like antennas, basically the same color as the creature's head, but constantly changing tones. They couldn't tell where the antennas attached to the creature's body, but many of them weren't sure they wanted to know either.

The creature's eyes had irises, but where the pupils should have been looked like an in-motion map of galaxies, always changing so that the only constant was stars and the like. The humans were pretty sure it was staring at them, but the mesmerizing galaxies made it hard to tell.

Greetings, humans! The humans all jumped when they heard a robotic sounding voice in their heads, and they peered around looking for the source.

I'm speaking to you all through thoughts, and yes, I'm the creature in what you're referring to as a robe, the robed creature clarified, bowing slightly, but then just staring at them.

"Damn, this is fucking crazy," Monique murmured, looking from the creatures, to the other humans, and back at the creatures.

"Where is the girl you creatures took?" Shadow demanded, looking at the robed creature with a mild scowl on his face. "Why did you bring the rest of the girls, for that matter?"

The one you call Ann is safe and being taken care of as we communicate, the robed creature said simply. We took her for our grand purpose and to lure the rest of you here as well. We didn't anticipate that you'd order the other girls to stay behind, so we had to bring them ourselves.

"What is your 'grand purpose'?" Matthias asked, eyeing all the creatures and the humans could sense he was silently tapping into magic.

Matthias and Kaetaria's eyes began glowing brightly and Shadow clenched his fists debating which alien creature he was going to run at. The girls were behind them murmuring swear words and insults as well as weighing the options of what to do.

"Sir, we can't let them abduct others and rape them, or lose Ann," Bella said rationally as the magical beings and Shadow calmed down from their attacking positions. "They're giving us the chance to choose at least. Not much of one, but it is something."

"Let's just give these aliens what they want and get Ann back, then get the fuck out of here," Kali chimed in, to which the other girls either nodded or voiced affirmations.

Shadow sighed but turned back to the robed alien. "I guess you get your wish if it means we get Ann back and no one gets hurt," Shadow said, peering distrustfully at the alien.
