Thanks for the feedback, Bruce. Every story I've written has had notes in square brackets about what was needed at that point. Replacing those notes with actual paragraphs has been the most difficult part of writing! So I did consider a longer adventure for Bess and her mom, but had no inspiration beyond having an emergency landing (which absolutely had to be NOT Bess's fault.) So I could, perhaps, have stretched that part or Bert & Cheryl's romance out but I personally liked the way it came out. Glad you enjoyed most of the story!
