I like the beginning or your story. I wish they were a little longer. I also would like to have heard some of the stories they told each other. It would give more insight to your characters and allow your readers to develop a relationship with them. Overall for your first postings your are off to a good start. I look forward to watching the story develop.

Perhaps you could get an editor? I love what you have to say, but not the way you tack everything together into one sentence.
