I have to say that as the chapters go on, I'm liking Lauren less and less.

Lauren is psychotic. And this is getting repetitive. He’s playing around but she wants him to go WAY farther. She’s clearly cheating and doesn’t see him s a man in their relationship. When he wakes up after being drugged and shared with one of her obvious lovers he’s really the idiot for staying.

I really wanted to give this a chance, but wow. I think you know what you are doing, you are writing a textbook, extremely toxic relationship with emotional and verbal abuse and guilting turned up to the nines and even a big gift.

I thought that the big twist would be that the victim would leave like he had earlier, but as this story goes on it’s clear that he’ll simply develop stronger forms of Stockholm syndrome until Lauren gets what she wants.

This is disturbing reading. Lauren is obviously mentally ill and Mike should be disappearing over the horizon. There is no affection in this relationship so, whatever happens next, it's just too far beyond belief to be credible.
