The best thing a married man can have happen is the wife cheating with someone at work! Every guy should have his wife do the same as Rose. They could then split the money and "carpe diem" the hell out of life! The wife's pussy was a pot of gold! I guess all pussies are if the wife is kind enough to screw a coworker. This was one lucky husband.

TajfaTajfa7 months ago

Very good. Rose must have had a mental health illness to throw away her marriage like she did. I did think the nude pictures were a bit much. 4 stars

UnassignedUnassigned7 months ago

This was a nice little story until you got to the obligatory, cliched and absurd 3rd party lawsuit and of course the immediate new relationship with the better/hotter/more sexual partner.

Tx77TumbleweedTx77Tumbleweed7 months ago

This was a good story, easily a 4, but lacked any one thing unique to push it to a 5. The ending was too much of a cliché; you should have ended it in the bar with just the promise of an introduction to her mother.

Oatmeal1969Oatmeal19697 months ago

the wife is exposed as being dramatically different with her work husband than her real husband and different again with her sister and mother. otherwise I enjoyed that escapism.

francemanfranceman7 months ago

Gosh, I keep reading about lawsuits against employers or anyone else for alienating ...... or not respecting .....

Is this bullshit really true? Does it really exist?

No personal responsibility.

As if others should be responsible for the behavior of an adulterous partner?

Regguy69Regguy697 months ago

Interesting angle. I wish the mythical treasure trove from the employer would stop showing up, but otherwise enjoyed it.

demanderdemander7 months ago

This is a good story. I want to say that the way it was written, Rose turned out to be a self-entitled bitch. And for quite a while before the precipitating event. He seems not to have had much of a clue. She was who she was way before her cancer scare and bucket list. So, he wasn't so bright. Maybe blinded by love. Too bad. Doesn't bode well for his new relationship. D

Really enjoyable story. Well paced and perfectly balanced narration to dialogue. A pleasure to read

How about. wife cheats at office. Husband divorces wife and sues company for 7 figures. Husband moves to tropical island and meets ex wife on beach. They hug and kiss and remarry. Husband finds wife new Wife cheats. Rinse and Repeat. Do we see a plot here

GamblnluckGamblnluck7 months ago

The part about her sending nudes to Charlie for years kind of broke away from the carpe diem angle. She'd been cheating, even if only emotionally, for some time. It was almost overkill considering the general tone of the story. But i know you wanted to shut down the RAAC guys who would have claimed the MC should have forgiven.

I enjoyed the story. Well paced.

ScorpioJJScorpioJJ7 months ago

A lot of this is from another story. In that one he made a bigger deal about the other guy being ugly. They were married 22 years but the kids were 23 & 25? I get it 21st Century and all but it is still unusual.

she cheated, he divorced her

where is the burn?

Just_WordsJust_Words7 months ago

I liked it. I think her real bucket list item wasn't cheating, but it was rubbing her hysband's nose in it. She was unwifely for too long. There was no going back.

Same story. Different people. Nothing new or interesting.

Another fake btb with the usual unrealistic childish and drunk husband. No good at all.

silentsoundsilentsound7 months ago

It's hard to get past the belligerently stupid and evil wife but an ok burn I guess.

CptAmeripantsCptAmeripants7 months ago

This isn't poorly written, but it's not believable to me. Having everyone she knows condoning her cheating and no one spoke up in his defense sounds completely ludicrous to me.

And that her boss actually paid for her room is completely far fetched. There's no problem in grounding your stories a bit more in reality. A solid 3*, but I'd like to see what you could do if you thought about how a situation like this would look rationally.

Nice way to dump a cheating wife.

And also get money from it.

Nice.

Thanks rogers1962.

secretsalsecretsal7 months ago

Wife and her supporting cast were a literal cautionary tale. No good reason given for why they'd be so stupid, but it makes the story spicier, I guess. Then again, that's hardly a novelty in LW, so can't blame you much for playing to the room.

dark2donut2dark2donut27 months ago

Bucket list when you are 47? And both kids were conceived before marriage [22 years of marriage with kids 23 and 25]? Anyway your story would have been better without jumping on rebound so fast. Story with a quick rebound just cheapens the plot.

The things found on the phone do not look very realistic, and if they were happening for so long how comes the "hubby" did not notice anything, he apparently did not even know how "Charlie" looked. And what woman would be talking about herself as a "hot wife" in a meeting in some restaurant with an opposing lawyer present?

Those are just some of many of the weaknesses in the story.

The whole story needs to be rewritten but I guess that is really not worth the effort given that there is hardly anything original in the plot.

IrrumatioIrrumatio7 months ago

So BOTH kids were born before they got married?

nixroxnixrox7 months ago

3 stars - just an average BTB story.

Nothing very deep or compelling to give it a higher score.

Better luck next time.

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

That Rose was being a slut BEFORE her operation and the whole “carpe diem” stuff pretty much sunk any even remote chance to reconcile. What a dumb bitch.

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

Well written story. I was going to give you grief for another good wife suddenly demands a hall pass then ignore his refusal, but this was more of a long term cheater who was good at hiding it from him. They obviously weren’t really communicating in spite of her near death experience. Why is the wife always willing to do BJs and anal for the lover?

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

While most stories on here rely on cliches that make them similar to a lot of other stories on here, the scene at the bar was way too similar to another story I read recently. You don't indicate this is a rewrite of your own story or your variation on another writer's story, so it's a bit concerning. It's okay to take inspiration from other stories. It's not okay to take actual scenes.

-

As to the story itself, I found her history with Charlie to be detrimental to the story. This appeared to be a story about a women who had a health scare which changed her to the point that she lost what she valued. Unfortunately, when it was revealed that she didn't actually value her husband prior to the cancer, the story lost a good portion of its impact as it rewrote the premise.

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

Why is the LW always surprised her husband won't be overjoyed with her slutting around?

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

According to my simple brain they had two kids BEFORE they got married so I was amazed they lasted as long as they did (married 22 years with a 25 and a 23 year old?). It's a favorite thing for authors to have angry husbands sue a Company and have the offenders fired. Major mistake which results in a larger alimony payment. Wait until after the divorce to have people fired and make sure that the wording in the divorce precludes any changes. Try and think of a clever ending that doesn't have the husband in the arms of another woman right away. Divorce is devastating to both parties, regardless of who is at fault.

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

I liked that you spent more time on the confrontation and consequences than meaningless background. One question for me, she spent so long demeaning her husband and building up to the tryst, why did she want to.fight the divorce and not take the opportunity to go off with her better man. That didnt make sense to me, people who love their partners dont demean them even if they have affairs. Anyway top marks from me for an entertaining story.

Grant_GlapsvidhrsonGrant_Glapsvidhrson7 months ago

Here's hoping Terry divorced his wife too... it was clear she's been cheating on him for a llloooonnnngggg time.

DrtywrdsmithDrtywrdsmith7 months ago

Good story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

BlueEyd2BlueEyd27 months ago

How could he have the divorce papers already drawn up before the big meeting if he had no real proof of adultry. I would have taken all the contents of her phone and used it to BTB. Especially after all her threats at the end of the meeting. And I would consider suing her sister and mother too (probably not going anyway but ... )

And as been pointed out by others, this wasn't about Seizing the Day. Not if she had been having an emotional affair with her lover for years. She is a liar, a cheat, totally disrespected him and deserves to be burned. Another wife who doesn't understand what it is to trully love someone.

Demosthenes384bcDemosthenes384bc7 months ago

Like most stories with the premise that a loving wife would come up with a scheme like this, let alone execute it, I struggle to buy it. Good story overall but you needed more depth in the 24+ hours from her reveal of an intent to cheat and her doing it. Missed opportunity to expand the possibility that the MIL may have been unfaithful as well. You drove us right to the edge of that plot line and stopped. 4.4*

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

The setup of this story was copied, in nearly every detail, from a recent Reddit story. Lookup cancer survivor wife wants a hall pass.

Borrowing or inspiring from other sources without acknowledging that is tacky.

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

For Rose, life eventually wasn't so rosy! She got hers, the whore!

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

Awfully dumb story.

Schwanze1Schwanze17 months ago

I do love a happy ending.

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

Sorry but a cliché ridden mess. It was a cut and paste job from a thousand other hall pass stories. I couldn’t even make through to the end. 2*

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

First your time line for their relationship is questionable. They were married for 22 years but theirs kids were 25 and 23 years old? Based on the kids ages they were together for at least 26 years but didn’t get married until after the second child’s first birthday.

It doesn’t make any sense to go after Rose’s company until the divorce is final as any settlement could be included as part of marital assets and split between them. Also, the terms of the settlement should have included Rose keeping her job for a least a year after the divorce was finalized to minimize alimony/maintenance payments. His lawyer should have known these things.

sbrooks103xsbrooks103x7 months ago

If she's going to give herself a hall pass, then she has to give him some of the sexual things that he wanted to do, like blow jobs and anal.

\

"Let me in so we can talk." - When he wanted to talk she blew him off.

\

"Yes, I did. But it was Carpe Diem, I put it on my bucket list. We agreed to live life!! He can't hold that against me. I almost died for Christ sake." - They didn't agree to anything goes. They didn't do everything on his bucket list, and she didn't "almost die."

\

"Are you aware that he allows me to sleep with anyone I want?" - Key point: Dave allows it. Bob didn't allow Rose to sleep with Charlie.

\

"You said it was a small thing" - Yes, if it's such a small thing, why would you risk your marriage over it?

\

Terry doesn't have to worry about no contact. Because of the kids there will always be contact.

\

"She felt she should have realized it was wrong from the beginning." - Well, duh! He only told her several times.

\

"Rose found out and was none too pleased." - Tough shit.

\

I'd like to know why a wife who apparently loves sex, and not even with a hunk, can't be more sexual with her husband.

Xzy89c1Xzy89c17 months ago

Stole the bones of this story from a reddit post about a wife who did same thing after breast cancer.

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

Very odd from a normal humanity psychology perspective. The apparent character change from before her surgery to after was bizarre. But was it a character change at all since she had been sending nude pictures to Charlie for at least the previous 5 years? Her outrageous betrayal, adultery, and sexual libido makes no sense. Especially since women who have hysterectomies have little or no natural estrogen, and have to take pills. It also makes their vagina go dry, so Rose becoming some sex dynamo, at least for Charlie, was ridiculous. And apparently even Charlie thought Rose was acting like a cheating whore. And why didn't the husband warn Charlie not to fuck his wife if he wanted to keep using his arms and legs?

\

The whole story read like a complex setup to the final show down meeting, where Rose exposes her monstrous treachery, ignorance, arrogance, previous deceit and cheating, and total lack of remorse and guilt. Yet she was a good wife and mother for 22 years? It reads like she was two different people at the same time, like a sociopath. You would think a normal perceptive discerning husband, and her children, would have noticed something aberrant before she outed herself fucking Charlie. Again, it just seemed contrived and abnormal human behavior. Glad he ended up with a better woman. But didn't Rose go off to live with Charlie? Did I miss that? Why not?

Yessir1234Yessir12347 months ago

Be honest with me. You got inspiration for this from that one Reddit story of the guy who’s wife survived breast cancer and pulled this exact scenario (if he wasn’t making the story up).

bobareenobobareeno7 months ago

The scene where the husband couldn’t spit out any words wasn’t one that washed. It brought the story down in quality, considerably. The denouement of Rose's longstanding perfidy was also over the top, negating the influence of Theresa and Janet on Rose’s actions. If a good tale is like a fine timepiece, this was a clock with parts that failed to mesh.

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

Pretty okay read. Thanks

MC don't stand for man card cuz dude duzn't gots one. Upon hearing about wife's plan dude starts cwying wike a wittle giwl. Then cleans house all day. I'm picturing a frilly maid outfit and a feather duster. But at least he didn't puke. Left that to FIL.

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

There is so much stupid in this 'story' there is no reason to start a 'bucket list'

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

Listen to your friends and family and ignore your husband. Way to go whore!

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

Sorry I do not like fairy tales . When you put in illegal facts and no one can lock their wife out of their home. What lawyer would okay that? . Totally a farce.

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

What a screwed up wife. Well, it rained on her Me First parade.

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

I never understood that Loving Wives trope of suing the employer for "abetting" the adultery. Following that "logic", why couldn't you sue the actual perpetrator, i.e., the adulterous wife, for money? It doesn't make sense.

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

Good. But, it felt rushed and incomplete in places.

jflindersjflinders7 months ago

I'd have liked it better without the LW fantasy about suing the employer. His getting the locks changed might have worked in some jurisdictions if she had no ownership or tenancy in the house, but nothing about that was given.

Otherwise I would have liked it.

WhyjustwhyWhyjustwhy7 months ago

What a dumb bitch. After she had her dun then cries about not realizing it's was so against what her husband wanted, but took the decision away by just doing it anyways. Nope, she made her bed with some other asshole. Bye bye.

afanoffanlitafanoffanlit7 months ago

That was well done. I think that there are more people in that age group who are chucking years of fidelity to chase a last hope of youth and beauty. It's a fucking disaster for families....but divorce and cheating are practically celebrated these days.

Great story and I really like her dad.

AnonymousAnonymous7 months ago

Yawwwn. First of all, by content, this is 75% of an old Reddit story that has been on all the YouTube robot-voice cheating wife story channels of late. Your ending was imaginative, but you fell into the trap of writing the same story that's been posted here forever, I mean, do you guys read all the past stories and copy the arguments and dialogue word-for-word? The wife's initial argument when she showed up with the family, failed to mention how her perspective on life changed. Instead, it went with the standard dialogue, and Mom followed suit. Read everyone else's story, and then toss out their lines and dialogue. Three stars.

It's always amusing to me how in many of these stories, the hubby has to explain, almost apologetic, why he wants to divorce a cheating slut. Where I live it's kinda self-explanatory so maybe it's a cultural thing?

Good story. Although Rose lost her job and got on at lower pay. I wished she got a job that would only pay for a run down apartment and the utilities and food only. Also it would have been nice if her children shun her a bit. Still a 5 star story.

AnonymousAnonymous6 months ago

Gave it 5 stars but still felt a feminized filter on the story, having him "get with the mother" is just feministic rederic, he was in his high value years he deserved to have a go with the waitress.

AnonymousAnonymous5 months ago

Brilliant story! The truth WILL set you free! 5 - Stars!

AnonymousAnonymous5 months ago

Loved the story. Gave it a “5”. One thing I will never understand is, why a woman that has kids with, and lives with a man for over 20 years, would not know his stance on cheating? And although there are plenty of sluts out there ( The Illinois DNR says they are a non evasive species like Bighead carp) I find it hard to imagine the mother and her other sister would have been so on board with it. Even if they were, her 3 workmates and the bosses were are involved as well, to the point of putting it on an expense account? Funny, that....

Rose came out of it to well but a good story

WhoGivesAShitWhoGivesAShit4 months ago

Good story. The thing is, she’d been horrible to Bob for at least 5 years. So it couldn’t have been as good a marriage as both suggested. Bob really should have told her Friday morning, that if she stayed out, not to bother returning Saturday.

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

Rose didn't make sense. Kind of a Martian Slut Ray plot. And the husband had no clue the wife held him in such contempt? It was flowing out of her like a volcano spewing lava. Just made the marriage seem shallow tepid and distant. How could she not know her husband's true feelings and his likely response? The husband is So Much better off without the arrogant guiltless whore, he should buy all the people who convinced her to cheat gifts.

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

Hmm. Kind of degenerated as story went on. The whole family thing. The sister in law is a hotwife with a willing cuckold husband. The MIL has clearly cheated on her husband in the past. How at first Rose seems surprised and delusional when she comes back and is locked out, but then it turns out she had am emotional affair with her boss for five years, then she degrades her husband while with the boss, and plans to do it again, lies about the boss having a bigger penis, blah, blah, blah. And finally she tries to turn into the Wicked Eitch of the West when divorce is obvious even to her. Oh and yeah she will turn her >20 year old kids against their father. Whatever. 3 stars.
