Whoa. I wonder if the plot of Robert's new book is wishful thinking? It's pretty ballsy to take a wife in front of her husband, when you don't even know the husband. Luclky this story doesn't take place in Texas, or hubby might have taken our his gun, from its locked box Perhaps it takes place in the 1960s when attitudes about sex were more relaxed? ... Our narrator's wife is a classic groupie, in my book. As a groupie story, I really like it. Our narrator could just as well have been a boyfriend, or a girlfriend, or her brother. Making him her brother might be even kinkier than making his her wife. There's a large exhibitionist/voyeur aspect to the story, too. 5* ~~JB

Sucks. I mean in a relationship like that the wife I would assume would ask the husband or say something well before anything at all takes place. And the husband, even if he is OK sharing, would be pissed at the disrespect shown by that guy just taking the first moves as he did. So what, he is an author. Big deal. Ask the husband and wife out of respect, just don't take what you think is yours for the taking.

Even if I was a wife sharing guy at that first kiss I would have stepped in and said he over stepped his boundary so now is the time to leave.

As often as "asking permission before asking my wife to dance" comes up in LW, and not asking usually sends husbands running, or chairs flying, I can't believe Robert would just assume, and/or that wife didn't take hubby aside and ask first. The ending 'a-hole' statement was a little jarring, and didn't seem to fit. Hubby was a pushover as far as letting wife screw the guy.
