Its a good first story but lacks any depth between characters. I found their connection really superficial. No lingering looks, no tension.. you have them training in self defence and couldnt come up with any close encounters? How does she feel free of her general? Who is she? What fears does she have and doesnt Logan intimidate her? Are neither of them fighting a natural attraction without the heat? Probably could do with an editor 3/5

Like all the other comments I quite liked this story and hope you continue. At this point it has been a while since your last chapter so I hope the inspiration hasn't diminished.

I would hope Alissa mentions her sister and we find out she is in fact one of the rebel leaders. Perhaps an exchange of prisoners with a covert plan to capture the general through Alissa's developed skill at self defense could help the rebels win their fight.
