One glaring language error: twice you use "peeking" (as in take a brief glance) when the context requires "peaking" (as in reach a culmination). Peak does not equal peek nor do peak or peek equal pique.

That's weird. I looked at the original and did a 'find and replace', and I got nothing. I also did the same to the story posted here and got nothing.
