He turned to the women he had thought were his and said, "What are you looking at? Fuck off." And with one last kick he stormed out, anger still surging inside him and needing to escape.

The women followed timidly at a distance not wanting to get anywhere near him in this mood. When he stopped, they stopped and briefly conversed. "This can't go on," said Tania.

"Who put you in charge?" someone asserted. "It was your arrival that set all this in motion, throwing your weight around, taking your miseries out on everyone else."

Tania was not used to being spoken to like that and started to try and bully, but was totally ignored, and so shut up.

Lauren then said quietly "I actually started it" and then began to retell her tale. Finally, she looked at Mei. "You really are a slut aren't you?" Mei shied away, she'd been hearing this since yesterday so now admitted that she had also taken up with the guy but primarily to get somewhere to sleep. That had failed dramatically as the bed was full so she had ended up sleeping on a sunbed, later asking the guy if she could catch up on some z's during the day. "That's the biggest load of bullshit ever" the others said as one.

Having got past Mei's attempt at confession, Ana owned up to being detached because of the Zoe break-up. Eventually Honor said "Am I the only one here who hasn't broken with someone then taken it out on David and everyone else; apart from the slut that is. There was silence, technically it didn't apply to Lauren but she considered her crime to be worse. Mei decided it was best to keep quiet if she was ever going to get back in Lauren's good books, although she was worried that she had already used up all of her nine lives in one day. Being incorrigible, she proceeded to tick them off on her fingers and decided that she still had one or two to go.

David knew that they were following of course, and he could even hear the occasional sound of raised voices in the distance. As he stood and took in the view around him it occurred to him that there shouldn't be such strife in such a beautiful place. He watched as an elegant sailboat made its way imperiously across the sea in front of him. He considered life at sea for a moment, then an idea came to him and he started to walk towards the harbour. It wasn't far away as it was essentially a stop off for wealthy sailors who wanted some time at the hotel but there appeared to be some local boats among the expensive cruisers. He decided then to consider how he could factor in sailing to the proposed development. He would have to talk to Ana he realized, without considering their present estrangement.

He noted that there were various boats, yachts and cruisers for hire and he came upon one that took his fancy. It was sleek and large with sails and motor so he stood by admiring its lines, noting its name as Fairwind. Eventually someone came out of the cabin and after a second glance he realized it was a woman who said "She's lovely isn't she?"

"Yes," he said. "I see she's available to hire?"

"That's true, are you a sailor my 'friend'?"

"I am," he said but I am trying to make up my mind whether to hire a captain or sail it myself. I've got five women with me."

"So you are a sailor, a waiter and general factotum are you?"

"Something like that," he conceded with a laugh. "It's to be a surprise but they are following me." and he indicated over his shoulder. She moved her head almost imperceptibly to look. "So will you help me out with this, I am trying to figure out how to tell them to go fetch their bikinis, they think I'm not talking to them."

"Ohh, right, it's like that is it? Well lets see, it's a tricky one, is that." She thought for a while then looked around the marina and spotted what she was looking for. "Right," she said. "I have a plan, you leave me right here and gradually get away to collect what you need. I've got most things on board, dive suits and the like. Plenty of booze if that's your bag," he winced.

"Hard night was it?"

"You could say that, and some."

"Anyway, as I was saying, the ladies are bound to ask me what transpired between us so I'll stand by this little fella here," she said, pointing to a small craft normally used by a dive team. "I'll tell them that you fixed it for them all to go out diving, if they want to, and they should all go get their bikinis, sunscreen and stuff."

"Sounds great so far."

Bree: Former Wife of a famous ex footballer, Chase. Ex-beauty queen type who is looking for a new life and fresh adventures after the disappointment of her husband becoming a worthless drunk. Came to a truth or dare party and never left.

Jo : A recluse who always received criticism by family and friends because she didn't achieve expectations. Pretty and vivacious underneath layers of shapeless clothes to hide herself, friends drag her along to Olivia's party and she never goes back to her dingy little room.

Michael : An Architect who studied with David through University. Moving to the area and possibly joining their firm but has problems with his wife, Sarah, who is having an affair with Wes Daniels.

Aleesha : A private investigator specializing in family matters. A tough cookie having gone through her own marriage break-up.

Monica: David, and Olivia's business supervisor and now a minor shareholder, totally reliable and a family friend, long term single mother but heading for a 'fling' with a handsome 'player' Mark, from the website company on the next floor up. Her office assistant is Dee.
