...and what a tangent! I must admit to being a bit ambivalent about this, Pixie, and starting with Mel. If you suspect your friend's partner of having an affair, do you have a moral obligation to tell the friend? After all, in doing so you could destroy not only two marriages / relationships but also a beautiful friendship. Fortunately for the plot, Pixie was turned on by the discovery when she had every reason to run amok with a cricket bat. I really think that Pixie should indulge in a little arse-kicking to show Claire and Lindi that she's not so easily put upon. I look forward to a chapter called Revenge of the Cuckquean.

Liked the way you structured this first, highly erotic piece in a new series — crisp dialogue, nice pace. Maybe I am overthinking, but the title suggests a focus on a particular theme/relationship loaded with connotations — cuckoldry. You have developed/shared loving polyamorous relationships, but cuckoldry implies something more/different. Historically the term applied to males who unwittingly invest parental effort in offspring not genetically their own, while today (and certainly on this site) the term generally refers to a male who enjoys his partner’s infidelity often accompanied by humiliation. Of course, a female could enjoy same. What is troubling, for me at least, is the humiliation. That and the possibility that the reality may not match the temptation/erotic fantasy, because as one author titled her cuckoldry piece “you cannot rewind reality”. Of course, that conundrum can make for an interesting storyline. So, I am most interested in how you develop this series; this first piece provides a hint while acknowledging some of the difficulties/troubles inherent in cuckoldry. Well, enough rambling, but your creativity brings it out.
