I fell onto her chest, my head rising and falling with her.
"Where...where did that come from, hen?" she chuckled softly.
"I...I missed you, 'kay? I'm just glad you're back, all right?" I said, deflecting what she said.
"Hmmm," she smirked through her deep breaths, her body warm and moist against mine. "You sure it wasn't anything more?" she whispered, stroking my head.
"I...I love you, 'kay? Can we talk about this later, please?" I asked, and held her tightly.
"Of course, leannan. I get it though, okay? I'm here, baby-girl, right?" she smiled, and held me.
I kissed her once more, rolled over and cuddled warmly into her, and we fell into a deep sleep.
