Once in a while I think about Dan's ex, Lara, and can't help but think that her loss is my gain. How could she have been so stupid to lose this man. He was willing to overlook her flaws, and they were big, just to get her love in return. But she gave it away to every other man she met. Stupid.

Okay, I have family to look after and have to get back to work. Remember what's important to you and look after that first.

Have a great day.

My research, while working to write this story, determined that 92% of open-marriages end in divorce. That doesn't speak well for the lifestyle; not if your intent is to ultimately stay married.

On a personal level I think that people forget human nature. We pair-off for social needs and to reproduce. Those who feel that they are sophisticated enough to overlook human nature and think that they can work through the jealousy and other emotions that drive married relationships are an oddity.

If you decide to try an open-marriage, good luck and I wish you well.

Not so sure that I believe the open marriage stats, it's a self selected report because nowhere is anyone ever asked to officially state they're in an open marriage and many might try OM as a means to mend or sustain an already broken mono marriage. So it's important to know when and why before giving each report validity.

Still, I do agree that OM are a difficult thing to get right and many of the pressures that historically allowed them to be successful don't exist anymore. I. E. Divorce is now easy and women can support themselves through work.

Anyway, Lara wasn't a normal person, she was either damaged, a nynpho or both.

Normal people do enter into open marriages, they're not all sex addicts that lack control.

Open marriage is abhorrent. I gave the story a 1 based on that alone.

Stopped reading when he agreed to an open marriage. Not interested in willing cuckold tales.

The only RAAC and BTB is moving on. When someone breaks, just get the hell away. Great story that moves energetically, which is hard to do as a writer with all the bends in normal lives. I like these better than the 300 felonies and a heap of corpses BTBs, or the two strangers in a house sharing practical duties and pretending love is still there RAAC hogwash.
