I am still catching up with your stories here (having jumped into reading them in a more recent one), but "Wow!", this one was very exciting. Thank you for sharing. Like the commenter below, I also liked the exposed to the rain element. A small thing like that (being rained on) would probably be magnified in her mind, because other little things would pile on... like her hair getting wet and stringing down her face, and since she is leashed (like a dog) with her hands behind her back, she couldn't even brush the hair out of her eyes to see where she was (or who might be watching!!).
